What lives inside every signed PDF
Each final PDF carries its own proof. You never need to call us, or even be online, to confirm it is genuine.
The digital seal (PAdES)
An electronic signature embedded in the file itself, in the European PAdES format. It seals the exact PDF content: change one comma after sealing and verification flags it.
Date stamped by an independent clock
Like the postmark on a letter: it proves the document existed on that date and time. The stamp comes from an independent time authority — not our clock, so nobody (not even us) can fake the date afterwards.

Next to the signature travel the chain certificates and an independent timestamp — everything a validator needs to confirm in the future, without talking to us.
Public verification page
Every signing process gets a public page with a QR code: document fingerprint, verification method, stamp and seal, recomputed on each visit. Anyone — a lawyer, an inspector — can confirm without an account.
One key per person
Every employee holds their own signing key, used only inside the SMS-verified ceremony. That person's intent stays bound to the document forever.
Company seal
The company stamps the final bundle with its document seal. Employee intent + company seal + independent time: the three legs of the proof.

Honestly: what green means — and what it does not. Green proves integrity (nothing changed) and dated existence (independent timestamp). The seal name is self-asserted by us: no outside party audited our identity, and there is no revocation feed. For employment contracts and internal approvals, the law requires written form and proven consent — exactly what this bundle proves. If you ever need qualified seals (QES), we integrate a qualified provider for that flow only.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I pay per signature or seal?
No. Signing lives inside the platform you already use for attendance and HR — no extra tool, no per-signature cost, no paid stamps per document.
If Chegatta disappeared, would the proof die?
No. That is why the seal goes inside the PDF: PAdES signature, independent timestamp and chain certificates travel in the file. Any validator (Adobe, the EU validator) confirms without talking to us.
How do I validate a PDF without installing anything?
Three ways: the public verification page printed on the certificate (QR code), the European Commission's demonstration validator (drag the PDF in), or Adobe Reader itself — which verifies integrity even without trusting the seal, it just stays yellow.
Is this a qualified signature (QES)?
No, and we do not pretend otherwise. It is an advanced electronic signature with strong evidence: SMS + biometric identity, hash-sealed document, independent time and audit trail. For employment contracts that is the right level; QES only via a qualified provider if a specific case demands it.
Can the seal be replaced? What about old documents?
Yes — we rotate keys without deleting old ones, so already-sealed documents stay valid forever. The trust page always serves the active certificate, never a stale file.
Is my biometric data stored?
We never store fingerprints or faces. Biometrics happen on the employee's device (Face ID / Touch ID) and we only record that it was confirmed, when and on which device — never the biometric data itself.
